Find below what our parents are saying about their experience at Estrellitas Montessori School
For the past two years our daughters (2.5 and 4 yo) have been at Estrellitas. Our experience has even exceeded my expectations. Marilyn and her teachers have created a loving, structured, Montessori experience where my children have learned a range of skills, from social and emotional lessons, through practical fine and gross motor skills. On top of this wonderful education, they have learned the foundation of Spanish and can converse as well as comprehend the language. The staff are loving and have worked through both children's transitional separation anxiety. I would recommend Estrellitas to anyone who wants their child to be loved, safe and well prepared for pre-school.
Between registration in April/May 2017 and enrollment in August 2017, we actively considered another daycare for our children. We’re so glad that we stayed because Estrellitas Montessori is WONDERFUL. We enrolled our now almost-3 and almost-2 year old sons there last August and we cannot say enough good things about our experience. The director & administrator (Ms. Medrano & Ms. Lorena) are organized and caring. Since starting at Estrellitas, our sons’ critical thinking, self-help and literacy skills, as well as their self-confidence has grown by leaps and bounds. They are having fun and playing while learning many real-world skills at the same time. During classroom observations, we’ve witnessed our eldest son – with minor supervision -- get his breakfast, wash his breakfast dishes, mop up spills, and prepare his snack (peeling tangerines and slicing bananas w/ an un-sharp ruler-like utensil). Our youngest son is learning how to put on his shoes and coats alone, and he vigorously protests when we intervene to help. Their ability to focus on tasks and play alone has tremendously improved. They’ve also absorbed SO MUCH SPANISH in the last year. They both understand what is being asked of them in Spanish, and they communicate in Spanish with their teachers and use a combination of English and Spanish with their classmates. It is truly amazing to see their language skills blossom. My main reservation was about the playground, but that is being renovated this summer. We think so highly about Estrellitas that we would love to see it participate in the District’s pre-K enhancement/expansion program, so that it could offer free/subsidized pre-K programs for 3 and 4 year old's
